The mission of our company is to take the stress out of food development and provide a practical and collaborative approach to the process.  This is your product, your packaging, your nutrition facts and ingredients.  The food and labeling are a reflection of your company, which communicate to your customers that your company is credible, trustworthy and professional.  Your business depends on a nutritional analysis that is accurate, nutrition facts that are formatted correctly, ingredient statements that are compliant. About jENNIFER SHIDO, Ms, cfs

Her career as a food consultant began when she realized that many small local food businesses were in need of a professional who could assist them with their products, from conception to packaging.  Being the former manager of the Kulanui Program at the University of Hawaii, she gained experience in all areas of food manufacturing, working with various 

Jennifer was born and raised in Mililani, HI.  She completed her BS in Exercise Science at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.  It was there that her passion for food and nutrition bloomed.  She returned home to complete her Didactic Program Certificate from the Commission of Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE), and received her Master of Science in Food Science from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.  Jennifer is a Certified Food Scientist by the Institute of Food Technologists. She also is a FSCPA Qualified Individual for Preventative Controls for Human Food (PCQI), the current FDA-recognized standard for food safety; and holds a certificate in HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) and Coffee Science.

Jennifer has 15 years of industry experience ranging from research and development, nutritional analysis, operations and quality assurance, working with a variety of food products. She has worked and assisted both large and small companies islandwide, including Kahuku Farms, Aloha Edibles, Hawaii Candy, Home Maid Bakery, Meadow Gold, Zippy’s & Napoleon’s Bakery (FCH Enterprises, Inc.), Sun Noodle, Royal Kona Coffee, Lion Coffee and Hawaiian Islands Tea Company . Jennifer has also been the instructor for the undergraduate Food Chemistry course at the University of Hawaii at Manoa for the past two years. Her current position is the Research & Development and Quality Assurance Manager for Honolulu Cookie Company.

Jennifer is the current treasurer and the past chair for the Hawaii section of the Institute of Food Technologists-  a group of food technologists and scientists that represent the food industry across the Hawaiian Islands,  She is also  a past member of the Research Chefs Association, American Dietetic Association, and the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
